This course for upper-intermediate learners presents vital aspects of the English language, with content at the B2.3 level of the CEFR. By covering the essential grammar and vocabulary needed to express possibility and obligation in a variety of ways, form indirect questions and refer to past regrets, the course gives learners the necessary tools to start using the language straight away. Learners also see how to give advice, talk about mental health and social media use as well as how to use the language of speculation. Learners participate in role-play and conversation activities which encourage them to use the language spontaneously and meaningfully. The writing and speaking assignments that follow offer the chance to use the language in a range of situations. The student needs to follow the instructions to create short written and spoken texts which allow them to reuse the new language independently.
